Together For Newark
Saint-Gobain Formula have joined a local community initiative; Together For Newark. Ten and eleven year-olds from Barnby Road Academy were able to see what happens behind the scenes at the local Saint-Gobain Formula manufacturing site in Newark. The visit included a tour of the offices, a chance to chat to specialists and had a one-to-one session with archaeologist Adam Slater. As part of the curriculum, children discovered facts about ancient history and the Bantycock quarry which was once home to an Iron age and Roman settlements. It was an engaging and interactive school trip that allowed the children to see exactly what goes on here at Formula and the career opportunities available to them in the future.
If you would like further information on the above or if you would like to find out about how your school can get involved with Saint-Gobain Formula, please contact Senior Human Resources Manager, Amelie Dickinson.
