Alfamolde MC

Alfamolde MC is a formulated plaster used in ceramics to produce working moulds for the slip casting of tabelware and figurines. This products is particularly suited to daily double casting, due to an increased casting rate and longer mould life.

Sanitaryware

Saint-Gobain Formula’s comprehensive product range enables the production of high performance moulds used to manufacture quality porcelain and vitreous sanitaryware (whiteware) toilets, shower trays, urinals, bidets, wash basins.

Slip Casting	A clay slip is cast into the plaster mould and left in the mould until a ceramic deposit has formed. The thickness of deposit will increase the longer the slurry is left in the mould. When the ceramic deposit is considered thick enough, the excess slurry is poured off and recycled, and a hollow piece obtained.
Solid Plaster Casting	Solid plaster casting may be carried out manually, or using continuous casting equipment for industrial scale production. Due to the solid nature of non-reinforced elements, drying may take longer than for items with thin sections.
