Animal Feed
High purity gypsum and plaster provide nutritional benefits and are widely used as a feed material for animals.
They are a source of calcium to help keep the product nutritionally complete and balanced, providing a supplement to assist with good bone and teeth development.
The sulphate can also help to control the gelling process during manufacture and assisting in the formation of ‘chunks’ of meat. It improves the physical characteristics of pellets or granulates and is also a hydraulic binder that can provide setting of the product mix (licking bucket for instance).
