Our History
1997BPB Formula
Saint-Gobain Formula (former BPB Formula) was officially founded in 1997, bringing together the industrial plaster activity of 4 major international plaster companies: Börgardts, British Gypsum, Iberyeso and Plâtres Lambert.
Each of these companies was reputed both on the home market and internationally for high quality gypsum and technical ability to produce industrial plasters adapted to a variety of specialist industrial applications
2000Thai Gypsum
Formula starts its collaboration with Thai Gypsum, part of the BPB Group, with quarry and production facilities in Bang Pa In, Thailand.
2001Gypsum Romania
Formula starts its collaboration with Rigips Romania, part of the BPB Group, with quarry and production facilities in Turda.

2003Rigips Turkey
Formula starts its collaboration with Rigips Turkey, part of the BPB Group, with quarry and production facilities in Hasanoglan.

2005Saint-Gobain acquires BPB Plc.
As a result of the acquisition the entire BPB activity is renamed as Saint-Gobain Gyproc. BPB Formula is renamed Saint-Gobain Formula, which produces industrial plasters adapted to a variety of specialist industrial applications.

2006Egyptian Gypsum Company
Saint-Gobain Formula starts its collaboration with Egyptian Gypsum Company (EGC), part of the Saint-Gobain Group, with quarry and manufacturing facilities in Amreyah.

2010-12Extensive investment in Newark
Formula’s facilities in Newark (UK) benefit from an extensive investment programme

2013-16Extensive investment in Bang Pa In
Formula’s facilities in Bang Pa In (Thailand) benefit from an extensive investment programme

2017Formula's Anniversary
Saint-Gobain Formula celebrates its 20th Anniversary.
