Saint-Gobain Formula plasters are used in both traditional fibrous and GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) plasterwork.
Both methods can be used to produce a wide variety of finished items such as cornices, coving, ceiling roses, columns and decorative suspended ceilings.
Fibrous plaster applications are also used on film sets to create structures, props, moulds and models.
High strength and surface hardness
Excellent reproduction of fine detail
Low expansion ensures dimensional accuracy
Safe to use and easy to mix
Traditional fibrous plaster uses a combinaton of plaster, hessian scrim and metal or timber.
The plaster provides the finished decorative face and the fibres are present to prevent cracking and breakages.
Saint-Gobain Formula offers traditional casting plasters and unique high strength casting plasters with setting times suitable for various work conditions.
GRG: GLASS REINFORCED GYPSUM
GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) uses a combination of plaster, glass fibre matting / chopped strands and metal / timber.
Typically harder, stronger plasters are used, so that larger sections can be cast thinner to reduce the weight when compared to traditional fibrous plasterwork.
